Under the joint aegis of Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch and City Light Welfare Society, PGI, Lucknow, a blood donation camp was organized on 09.01.2022 in the church premises.

This program was organized with the inspiration of Red Cross General Secretary Dr. Himabindu Nayak. The Secretary General could not attend the said program due to busy schedule. Because of this, the message of the General Secretary, Blood In-charge, Mohd. Haroon read out to all the people present. In his message, the Secretary General urged everyone to follow the masks and proper distance to avoid the corona epidemic, and while highlighting the importance of donating blood, many diseases are detected prematurely due to many tests before donating blood. And it helps in getting their treatment in time. With this, the new blood that is formed after donating blood, new energy is transmitted in the body. Donating blood does not cause any kind of weakness in the body.

In the middle of this program, Mr. James Samuel, Secretary, City Light Welfare Society, Near SGPGI, Lucknow, in his address said that blood donation is great donation. Expressed gratitude to the Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch for cooperating in the said event.

In the blood donation camp, about 50 people came to donate blood, after the blood test, 11 blood donors donated blood and other remaining people took a pledge that whenever there is a need of blood, we will donate blood.

Citations, masks and blood donation badges were distributed by the Red Cross to all the blood donors who donated blood. Blood donation program was completed in the presence of Red Cross blood in-charge Mr. Mohd. Haroon and Mrs. Rupanshi Rastogi.

Juice and fruits were distributed to all the blood donors. At the conclusion of the program, small refreshments were arranged by City Light Welfare Society, Lucknow.
