In the presence of Chief Medical Officer / Vice President Indian Red Cross Society Ballia Dr. Jayant Kumar and Chief Medical Superintendent District Hospital Dr. Diwakar Singh, District Tuberculosis Officer / Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Ballia Dr. Anand Kumar organized the seminar and patients' adoption and signature campaign It was done, in which there was a dignified presence of doctors from all government and non-government hospitals of the district, mainly Dr. Kejriwal, Dr. Ajit Singh, Dr. Dadan Rai, Dr. Virendra Kumar Gupta etc. On this occasion, till the year 2025, TB disease The resolution to end it from the country was also reiterated.
On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jayant Kumar said that TB is not an incurable disease. Better treatment of TB patients is being done in the government hospital in the district. The most important thing is that the patient will have to undergo his complete treatment, if he misses taking medicine even for a single day, then it can prove to be harmful for him. Appreciating the Red Cross Society Ballia, he said that the Red Cross is continuously doing good work in the district, in this sequence, 169 patients have been adopted by the Red Cross today, and they have been given nutrition bundles. In the past also 274 patients were adopted by the Red Cross, who have recovered completely at this time. For this, he congratulated the Red Cross team Ballia.
District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Anand Kumar said that cough and fever for two weeks are the main symptoms of TB disease. It should not be ignored. On the other hand, those who are coughing for more than two weeks or coughing up blood along with sputum, they should immediately get their sputum checked at the district TB hospital.
He told that TB can be cured if the disease is detected in time.
During this, it was told that if a patient goes out for any reason, then take a card from the concerned hospital and get a referral made so that medicines can be made available to him wherever he goes. In order to keep the food of the patients good, an amount of Rs. 500 is also being given per month in their account under the Nishchay Poshan Yojana.

  Dr. Anand Kumar said that about 3071 TB patients are registered in the district. Today, 169 patients were adopted by the Red Cross Society Ballia and they were given Nutrition Potli (Roasted Gram, Groundnut, Jaggery, Sattu, Rajma, Soybean, Protein Powder). There are 100 Multi Drug Resistant (MDR) patients. At present there are 35 DMCs, two CB Nat Labs and two True Nat Labs in the district.
