Hygienic kits and other items were distributed by the Indian Red Cross Society to hundreds of women at the Islamic Center of India located in Aishbagh today. Hundreds of women belonging to poor families were provided with their necessities.

Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahli, Imam of Idgah, attended the program organized at Islamic Center of India as the chief guest. On this occasion, General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Red Cross Society, Dr Hema Bindu Nayak honored Maulana Khalid Rashid with mementos and a bouquet of flowers. Apart from social workers Mohammad Arif Qureshi, Shahabuddin Qureshi, Imran Qureshi, Sufiyan Qureshi, many people participated in the program of distribution of goods related to women.

In the program organized on Thursday afternoon at the Islamic Center of India, the women who benefited from the program were already identified and given tokens by the workers of the Red Cross Society. Apart from a tarpaulin and face mask, other items were distributed.

Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali while praising the Red Cross Society said that the work being done by the society for the women is a sacred work. He also appreciated the Red Cross Society.
