Program Description
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri's birth anniversary on 2 October 2024, the program was inaugurated by Dr. Himabindu Naik, General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Uttar Pradesh State Branch, by garlanding the statue of Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri. On this occasion, the General Secretary of the Red Cross wished Gandhi Jayanti to all the dignitaries present and said in his address that in the present times, there is a greater need to follow the path of non-violence shown by Gandhiji, because today violence is increasing continuously in many countries of the world. In this sequence, Red Cross Legal Advisor Mr. Shafiq Jama remembered Gandhiji by singing Gandhiji's bhajans. On this occasion, Mrs. Amita Srivastava, Mrs. Vandana Rao and many Red Cross members were present. At the end of the program, the General Secretary, along with all the employees of the Red Cross, also raised slogans of Mahatma Gandhi Amar Rahe, Shastriji Amar Rahe, Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
