Wheelchair Distribution Program Organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Gorakhpur on World Disability Day
Gorakhpur, 3 December 2025 — On the occasion of World Disability Day, the Indian Red Cross Society, Gorakhpur District Branch organized a wheelchair distribution program today. The program was successfully conducted with the cooperation of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow.
The event was graced by the presence of Shri Ramanand Katiyar, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch, Lucknow. Dr. Priyanka Yadav (Health In-charge, IRCS Gorakhpur) and her team also played a significant role with their active participation.
The primary objective of the program was to provide assistive devices to persons with disabilities and to promote inclusive healthcare services in society.
