Program Description
On 23 November 2025, for the service of patients, the Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh State Branch commenced the construction of a state-of-the-art Blood Bank equipped with advanced facilities. The foundation (Bhoomi Pujan) of this Blood Bank was performed with Vedic rituals by Hon’ble Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh & Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, in his address, stated that the Blood Bank being established by the Red Cross will provide all modern facilities and free services to the public. He further added that this initiative would ensure that any person in need can receive blood on time, ultimately saving precious lives.
Speaking at the event, Shri Amarnath Mishra, Vice-Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh, said that the Blood Bank will soon be completed and will begin serving the public at the earliest.
At the conclusion of the programme, Shri Ramanand Katiyar, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Uttar Pradesh, expressed gratitude to all distinguished guests, volunteers, and staff members who participated in the foundation ceremony.
