On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd, various programs were organized at the Uttar Pradesh office of the Red Cross.

Firstly, under the leadership of Red Cross General Secretary Mr. Ramanand Katiyar, a cleanliness drive was conducted on the Red Cross premises. Several dignitaries, along with staff members and workers, actively participated in the campaign.

After the cleanliness drive, Treasurer Mr. Arun Singh initiated a tree plantation program by planting a sapling. During the program, more than 10 nature-conserving plants were planted.

Subsequently, floral tributes were offered to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri by the attendees, paying their respects.

At the conclusion of the program, sanitation workers were honored with sashes and mementos. On this occasion, both the General Secretary and the Treasurer of the Red Cross also encouraged everyone to follow the life philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
